It does the trick as an exhaust for my bathroom but mine made a horrible loud screeching noise when on high. It could legit be heard rooms over with all doors closed, i went to town with some WD-49 and this fixed the issue. But loud dans dont earn 5 stars QC is important. This fan was delivered yesterday so I only have one day to make a judgement but here goes:PROS:Quiet, I can hear it running but it's not intrusive. It Fits! Installed in a metal framed window with an outside screen. I was concerned that I'd have to remove the screen and didn't. (bugs, don't want to give them any more ways in than I have.)CONS:The two fans don't appear to be quite in sync so there's a harmonic variation. Since the fan sets on a board that's part of the frame of the trailer that harmonic makes its way through the house - not enough to be aggravating, just noticeable. There is a low temp cut off for the fan but there is no HIGH cut off. I'm using it to cool my trailer overnight and want it to turn off when the outside temp reaches - oh say 85° I live in the desert and am using the fan to pull in cool air overnight which it does well, I just don't want it to pull in hot 100°+ during the day.Edited 06/20/22 The noise I mentioned earlier has increased and become loud enough to be aggravating keeping me awake, so the fan isn't serving its purpose of providing cooler night time air from outside.Added note: The temperature on their display is just plain wrong. Air outside 76° / air inside 85° / displayed 91° ... there's something very wrong there.Overall it has a couple of good points, but more that I dislike - NOISE!This doesn't fall on my personal "recommended" list.Unfortunately, I’m a smoker & if I’m not up to going outside I put this in my window quick & As long as you sit/stand directly in front or close by & blow the smoke through exhaust it works. That’s the sole reason I purchased it though, though I am using for cooling. It works well & I think it is quiet. I’d purchase againIt works well . I wish it was a little stronger in moving air but is good enough for the money. Good valueCheaply made. Thought I'd save a few dollars, but I regret not getting the Holmes equivalent. The extenders are brittle, the temperature reading is far from accurate (good 5-10 degrees) the power cord is ridiculously short, and the list goes on.Im going to say first what I think this product is great for.1. Small bathroom that doesn't have a built in fan/vent.2. Kitchen or laundry room that doesn't have a built in vent. What I bought it for:We don't have a main AC unit. We live in the mountains where its freezing at night and can get humid and musty during the day. We are in the shade, so a mere fan source is all we need. We've been using a dinosaur square loud old school fan. It worked BEAUTIFUL bringing cold air in....but it looks ghetto and ugly. We wanted something to do the same job and secure in.What this fan doesn't do:It does not cool down a big space(i.e-whole room or across the room). If I stand 2 feet infront of the fan ON HIGH. I can feel the air. If I sit on the couch 5 feet away, I feel stale heat and no air flow. Also, idk why there is a temp setting. It absolutely did NOT work. And I followed instructions 10 times. Then I gave up and left it alone. Its a fan, not a legit ac unit. Its comical watching the temp increase and never get to the temp (65) that we set it to. The heat only increased in the room because the fan did little to move cool air around. We are keeping it to use for getting steam out of small nook spaces, but to actually cool the house we are going back to basics with the big guns and using our ugly big square bear fan set infront of the open window to get cool air in.Works perfectly! Quiet and energy efficient!I recommend this to anyone
