The screws provided are poor quality and stripped immediately. The screw could not be removed, and took an hour with plyers to remove from the wood window frame. Once the blinds were installed, it works ok. The fabric is thinner than expected and there are some small holes (can only be noticed when your face is right up to the blind). I think it’s a matter of time before something barely touches the blind before there is a puncture or ravel the the edging of the fabric. But for the price, I guess that’s expected. Overall happy with purchase, but might have to replace sooner than anticipated.real nice shadesBought two for a large window to go behind blackout curtains that weren’t cutting it in our 1 year old’s room. Spring-forward time change dread, anyone? Decent product for the money, but you’re getting what you pay for compared to the pricier competitors. I wish half-sizes were offered. Super easy to install and interior mount (we had to without having to also re-hang the curtains, patch/paint, blah) is definitely not perfect but effective. These two photos were taken *exactly* 24 hours apart, clear skies, and we’re happy with the difference. While the shade itself is quite nice, all of the other plastic components and hardware are very cheap and the shades on one of the two we ordered came rolled onto the cylinder so wonky it took us longer to set it straight working together than it took me alone to install both sets. Am very curious to see how it all holds up and plan to update.Designed well.Let me preface this by saying I had Ikea roller blinds installed already before I purchased these ones, so in a way I had some expected standards when purchasing these. That being said, the roller blinds I had before installing these were NOT blackout blinds but privacy blinds, and that is why I purchased these, so that I could block out the sun in peak spring and summer since my office is facing the sun as it comes down right in front of my home after high noon. Now that that's out of the way....These blinds did not impress me. When I unpackaged them, the first thing I ran into was that the edges of the frames were plastic, I can live with that honestly, but what was horrible was that the inserted red "thank you" card blemished the plastic on the frames badly, don't ask me how but that's literally what happened. On all three blinds I ordered, where the card was closest to on one end of the roller blinds, it rubbed against the plastic and discolored it red quite a bit. To remove some of it I had to get some elbow grease going and really try to add some friction with a micro fiber and remove it as best I could. Cosmetically the blinds are okay but considering they cost more than the Ikea roller blinds I had...they're just so plain, the Ikea blinds had stoppers built into the frames and the way they rolled up was soooo smooth. With these blinds the mechanical function of them rolling up feels cheap comparatively and no matter now much I adjusted the tension of the roll up, it was way too fast and if it was slow enough it wouldn't wind up to the very top all the way. With that being said, I wouldn't buy these blinds again, but they do their job and do block out the sun very well and work okay relative to price, which are what the 3 stars are for.**UPDATE 4/8/19**So I've had these blinds for a solid couple weeks now. Still stand by most of what I said to be honest and they work well blocking out the sun, but...the added one star is for the customer support. Liz, from Sunfree, reached out to me about 4 days later after purchase asking if I would like one replacement blind at no charge. Sure enough I took Liz and Sunfree up on the opportunity and just one day after my correspondence with Liz, she provided me a tracking number for the new roller blind being sent. New roller blind did not suffer from the red stains on the frame as mentioned from originally ordered blinds but it still does roll up a bit too fast in my opinion. In any case, good customer service, thanks for the replacement blind Liz and Sunfree! For what they are designed to do, the shades themselves work very well. Standing right next to them, you can feel the heat they are keeping out. Stand away from them, and the room in general feels cooler. They look much sleeker than the ones we previously had and the foiled look on the outside is barely noticeable when viewed outside the house. I was worried that it'd look like we foiled out windows to keep the alien brain controlling waves out, but it looks pretty good externally. What's keeping these from a 5-star rating is the extremely cheap screws that come with the unit for installation. But it is important to note that this is literally my only complaint. I'm going to vent a bit, but keep looking at that 4/5 star rating and remember that the main unit itself is good and worth the money. Just make sure you have some real screws to work with.First off, why are there only 3 screws for an installation that (to me) seems to obviously call for 4 screws. I initially thought I had lost a screw, being the klutz that I am. However, upon opening the next set, it too only had 3 screws, so you're basically down a screw with each set. Next is the screw quality: it's terrible. Judging by the fact that anchors come with the set (again only 3, so you know this is intended now), these cheap screws are intended for drywall or amazingly soft wood. I was screwing these into the inner frame, so the got stuck and stripped. Fortunately, I had a set of removal tools and was able to get them out, but it should be noted that these screws are not intended for anything other than drywall. Use more stable and strong screws if you are going to use this unit on the window's real wood frame. This was horribly frustrating after spending almost $200 on 4 sets. That's the one main thing they could improve upon: real screws and give us 4 of them instead of 3.What I did not try was the withdraw speed adjustment. I felt it was fine as is and didn't bother messing with it, but the instructions made it seem way easier that it actually was. Since I was satisfied with the default setting, I didn't bother with it.
